Amanda holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and is currently seeking licensure with the College of Alberta Psychologists. She has completed initial training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and practices under supervision. She also holds a Bachelor of Education with a minor in Special Education and brings a strong foundation in supporting youth and families, alongside experience in crisis and mental health services.
Amanda integrates evidence-based approaches, drawing from modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and Narrative Therapy. Her practice is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person centered. Client's describe her as warm, authentic, and direct. She values collaboration and offers honest, thoughtful reflections that gently challenge unhelpful patterns while supporting insight, values-based decisions, and meaningful change.
