Practicum Counsellors

$35/hr; cannot be claimed through benefits.

Practicum Counsellors are Master's graduate school counselling students who are completing their 8-month practicums on-site at Restored Wellness.

Students are supervised by Katherine Mooney, who oversees treatment, planning, and continuity of care.

Practicum students provide counselling to children (ages 7+), youth, adults, and couples.

Lindsay

R.PSYCH

Lindsay is passionate about supporting the growth of her clients, and values the importance of creating meaningful connections. She believes that growth and healing occur when we feel safe, connected, and empowered. Lindsay has adopted a collaborative, strength-based, and trauma-informed lens, and uses a variety of approaches based on the unique needs of each client. She has a special interest in child development and supporting families in navigating the strengths and challenges of autism spectrum disorder.

Lisa

Registered Provisional Psychologist

Lisa has over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and their families within schools from being a classroom teacher as well as a learning services teacher. She creates a warm and empathetic environment while creating strong connections with her clients. She has an extensive understanding of learning and development in children and adolescents.

Kiersten

Practicum Counsellor

Before pursuing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, Kiersten spent two decades in the Energy Industry as a geologist and leader. Kiersten’s gender transition in 2017 gave her the gift of a deeper and more genuine connection with many people in her life. With this new connection came new insight and appreciation for the diversity of challenges many people face as well as the impact and importance of creating safe, equitable, inclusive, and culturally competent support for all.

Tannis

Practicum Counsellor

Tannis has over 15 years’ experience connecting with and supporting parents with their child’s development and healthy behavior management. Trained in the Positive Parenting Program “Triple P” which offers practical strategies to help build strong, healthy relationships, confidently manage their children’s behavior, and prevent problems developing. She is passionately committed to increasing emotional awareness and walking along-side those on their journey towards creating a life of purpose and meaning.

To provide accessible psychology, counselling, alternate dispute resolution, and parenting expert services to adults, teens, children, and families in Alberta. Our mission also includes providing quality training sites for Master's practicum students and registered provisional psychologists to practice under supervision while growing their skills to becoming competent service providers for the community we serve.

Individuals, couples, families, and families impacted by separation/divorce have access to quality care, regardless of income level, where a team approach of qualified and passionate professionals works collaboratively to facilitate optimal care through personal, couples, or whole-family challenges.
