Amanda is a practicum counsellor completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She holds a Bachelor of Education with a minor in Special Education and has taught grades 1 through 9, primarily in specialized behavioural settings. Amanda brings a strong foundation in supporting youth and families, alongside volunteer experience with crisis and mental health services. She integrates Acceptance and Commitment, Cognitive-Behavioural, Dialectical Behavior, and Narrative Therapies with Family Systems, Rogerian, and Humanistic approaches. Her practice is grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person-centered care. Amanda offers a warm, collaborative space where clients can explore experiences and move toward meaningful change. Her style blends empathy with curiosity and uses thoughtful, reflective questions to help clients clarify values, uncover new perspectives, and take purposeful action.
